Course Description
Discover the many effects of light on form and how to portray this in the media of oil paint in this comprehensive eight-week course. Bring a still life subject to paint, reference photos, or step outside to paint plein air in the studio landscape. Instructor Adrian Martinez will offer presentations and provide personalized instruction to analyze the diverse qualities of light and painting techniques. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your unique vision as you work on completing your painting. As in his usual practice, Adrian will also paint his version of a particular style as a demonstration in class along with students. Whether you prefer painting in the studio or en plein air, this course offers a rich opportunity to refine your skills and explore the captivating interplay of light and form.

- Graphite or charcoal pencils
- Several small brushes of your choice, both hair and bristle
- Painting medium (Liquin original painting medium recommended)
- Paint thinner
- Pallet
- Paint rags
